One of the main goals of cryptographic systems is to
provide information authentication, i.e., to provide assurance
about the content and origin of communicated message. An
authentication code is a system that allows a transmitter to send a
message to a receiver in such a way that the receiver can be sure that
-- the transmitter as the actural sender
-- the message has not been tampered with during the transmission
This talk will present a brief introduction to unconditionally secure authentication codes.
